As a dog lover, this one caught my eye in the library so I grabbed it. It’s actually over-due and I have no more renewals so I need to finish it ASAP and pay my fine. It’s worth paying the 10 cents a day to me to finish it instead of taking a chance that I won’t get it back for awhile. (Glad school vacation started yesterday at 2:30!)
This is a quickie that I picked up at the school book fair. I keep it on my desk and pick it up while I’m eating my lunch. I’ll likely blow through the rest of it in one sitting while on vacation next week. One of the students was interested in it so we both bought it and we’ll discuss it together. I actually love Children’s Literature and want to catch up with reading the latest Newbery Medal Award winners this summer.

I’ve been reading Eckhart Tolle’s A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose and taking the web seminar with Oprah’s Book Club on Monday nights. The book is intense and focuses on living in the present and overcoming the Ego. I’ve been reading just one chapter at a time to prepare for each week’s webinar, often finding that I need to re-read them in order to digest them. For those of you who are reading it, you’ll know why I have this picture here. My thoughts after the first two chapters were captured in Muse with Me 006 which can be downloaded or listened to via the player on the podcast website.
