One step forward & two steps back :-(

So, I went back to work this week.. which really means that I’m back to my “regular” life. Going back to work also meant going back to mommycab duty, running errands, cooking dinner, housework and dealing with a HUGE schoolbag full of things that I’m behind in. I brought work home every night and will be for quite some time. Unfortunately, that leaves little/no time for anything thing else.

I had lunch duty on Thursday and the 3 days of school felt like 3 weeks. My back is screaming and I can barely move. (I called the doctor but he won’t be in until Monday.) So, while my inbox is overflowing (cripe.. I even missed a few important emails), Google Reader is about to be cleared out by “marking all as read” and podcasting and website updating are the last things on my mind, my team has MADE HISTORY and is heading to the playoffs a week from today.

Unfortunately, my back pain, caring for my puppies, and catching up on school work (and of course the usual mom stuff) is all I can handle right now. Playoff fever is going on around me leaving me in the dust. That makes me sad…..

New Content.. finally!

For those who have been awaiting my return behind the mic, I was finally able to put together a podcast. And from what I hear from listeners and friends, I sound very happy to be there. ;-) Well, why wouldn’t I be? My Pats are undefeated and I’ve made huge strides in my recovery over the past few weeks. So, check out Show #136 here and watch for 137 to be coming soon! Go Pats!!

I’ve also appeared in a couple more SeeSmix episodes over the past couple of weeks:

Episode 35

Episode 34

A Real Inspiration….

Just to keep you up to date, I’m doing so much better and I’m making strides each day to get back to myself. I was able to update the website the other day and a podcast will be coming this week. (Yippee!!) Today, I ventured out for a little bit to get some Christmas shopping done. (yikes… it’s coming fast!)

In case you missed it, here’s a great story about my dear friend and fellow Pats fan and tailgate buddy Randy “Zip” Pierce. He is truly an inspiration to me and you’ll soon see why. Watch Zip on HBO’s Inside the NFL Fan Story #4. (You can subscribe to the video podcast on iTunes to see the entire series if you wish.)

Click on the picture to load a Quicktime file of his story. (It takes awhile to load, so hang in there.) (If not, go to the HBO page and search for Fan Story #4. It was on the front page at the time of this posting.)

Big New Media Day Today

I got up this morning feeling REALLY tired and sluggish and thought it would be a rough day but maybe that sleep did me some good because it turned out to be a pretty good day (yippee!) There certainly was no shortage of Media Stuff that’s for sure. It started off with Today’s Seesmix #29.

On Manpurses and Online Conversations….

By the way if you follow me on Twitter as mrsb I’ve set up a separate account for Seesmics so as not to clutter up the stream too much. Follow mrsbvideo for that content if you so desire.

Later in the day, @Noebie tweeted that I was featured on this week’s Podfinder

This week, the podcast was featured on Adam Curry’s Podfinder, Episode 33 which was about sports. Please check it out and if you happened to come here to subscribe due to hearing about it there, THANK YOU! Stay subscribed… I’ll be back soon!

GO PATS!!

Then….Chel asked me if I would mind posting my Seesmic about opening my Matthew Ebel package over on the Matthew Ebel fan site. :-) Now…. if my Goodbye Planet Earth CD would just get here soon, then I’ll really be a happy girl!

Slow Going but Making Progress..

I’ve been keeping up with my updates via Utterz, which has been a godsend for me. (You can listen in to previous posts below or on the site.)

I did make a major milestone today in which I was actually able to make dinner with Kelsea’s help and had enough attention span and energy to make it through most of my email inbox without having to stop for a nap tonight.

Website updates and podcasts are still on hold as sitting the other computer is still out of the question. I’m (generally) comfortable sitting up on the couch so I have been keeping up with the latest happenings on new start up Seesmic and have enjoyed the video conversations happening there. So, apparently, has Bella!!

Incidentally, Bella has been a good girl during my recovery and her little sister, Chloe is growing fast!

Bear With Me…

Hey Folks,

As many of you may know, I took a pretty serious fall down my outside stairs on Monday night and I’ve injured my back and will be laid up for awhile. I have access to the internet via my laptop (when Al helps me to and from the couch) but many of the other things that I update on a weekly basis can only be done via my desktop PC (website and podcast).

Unfortunately, I can’t sit there yet so I’m not sure if/when it will get done anytime soon. Just be sure that I’m not fading… just taking time to heal.

(Watch for Twitter, Utterz, and Seesmic updates throughout though since I can access those through my laptop…. between naps ;-)

Go Pats!!

Karen
