There was a time when the kids were little and we were broke that our weekly “date” consisted of tucking the kids into bed then heading downstairs with a bottle of wine, a few candles and a stack of rented movies… We were quite up to date on the latest flicks back then!

Fast forward—-> a dozen or so years, six grueling years of  Saturday nights writing college papers, a husband working 3rd shift, then  a couple of party years behind us, and we’ve come full circle once again….back to spending quiet nights at home watching movies…  We’ve got lots of catching up to do!

My favorite movies are dramas (especially if I’ve read the book!!), chick-flicks,  historical epics, and suspense  but I’ll watch just about anything except horror flicks…

(Much like the books I’ve read, I need to start keeping a list to keep track of all of those titles… so I’ll just add in the new ones as I go along…  Of course I won’t count those classics that we watch OVER and OVER again that we’ve already seen.. Current repeat favorite: Phantom of the Opera, or any of those movies that we catch flipping through the channels that we stop and watch even though we’ve seen them a dozen times…)
