… tears of joy and sadness at son’s acceptance to college… in Hawaii! Best of luck at Chaminade University, my baby boy. I know you will do great things in this world. I love you so much…
Congrats to your son and hugs to you! This must be bittersweet. On the positive side, what a wonderful place to visit and vacation! I’ve added your blog to my google reader.
Karen-I know….it is a testiment to the gift YOU and Al have given this world. You have raised him to have the courage to dream and the determintion to go after his dreams-It will leave a sadness in all of us, but he is starting on a new journey-new phase of his life. We are all very proud-He is truly LIVING Thank GOD for skpe-and tell him auntie Laurie said no more tatoos Hawiian needles are dirty! They clean them with pineapple juice!!!
When he came up the stairs to tell me that he was accepted, I immediately burst into tears… so happy for him because he wanted it so badly and I think at that very moment the reality hit that he would be so far away from home. I’m so proud of him and happy that he’s doing something that I never did; go away to college. He’s determined to live life to the fullest and on his own terms. I admire him so much. <3
