Spring??
Yesterday was the first day of spring.. at least on the calendar anyway. We’ve been in a cold and windy weather pattern all week and as I write this on a very sunny (but freezing) Friday morning, the wind is howling outside. (Try convincing Bella that the noise is not someone approaching the house… someone get me some earplugs!)
It’s nice to have today off to catch up on things and get some work done around the house. I got my new MacBook Pro in this week and while there’s a bit of a learning curve I’m doing great with it and LOVE it already! It took quite awhile last night to get it to recognize my new printer but an updated driver download from the Canon website did the trick.
I cleared all of my programs and files from the old laptop and have passed that on to Jake to use in his room. Today, I hope to backup and delete lots of files from the Dell, run a defrag and get that one running in top shape for the family. (I’ll still be using it to update my website with Frontpage until I can figure something out on the Mac, and to podcast for awhile until I’m comfortable with Garageband over Castblaster.)
As for the rest of the weekend, I want to start prepping my bathroom for a new paint job, brought home Assessment stuff to work on, and have 2 places to go on Easter Sunday.
For now, drinking coffee, checking email and spending some cuddle time with the girls…

If you want to keep recording in an environment similar to Castblaster, I’ve heard a lot of good things about Ubercaster: http://ubercaster.com/
It’s a bit pricey ($80), but it sounds like the learning curve would be a lot less than trying to adapt to GarageBand, which is going to be more like recording in Audacity (which you can also download for the Mac, BTW)…
