As I write this my boys (aka The Patriots) are enroute to Arizona for Superbowl XLII.
This morning, Al and I headed to Gillette Stadium to attend the Rally and see them off. Since 2001, we’ve always gone to stand in the cold just to get a glimpse of them boarding the buses and to cheer and offer our support.
This is the second time that there is an organized rally and while the boys were on the field for just a short time, it was still worth the trip. I’m getting more and more excited about this Superbowl with each passing moment and the butterflies have already started.
It would still be wonderful if we could head out there and be in the thick of it all, but with no tickets, we’ll just stay put and send the vibe from here.
I recorded a soundseeing tour while I was there and will post it soon, (unless the audio quality is too poor due to overmodulation because of the cheering crowds). I also shot a bit of video using my digital camera and if I have time to figure out how to edit it and post it, I may put that up as well. For now, here are my pictures.
Also, tonight, at 10pm ET Touchdown!: The Patriots and the Business of Winning is on CNBC.
I know I’ll be glued to the TV this week as it’s the first Superbowl that we’ve been to since I’ve gotten the NFL Network. Between them, patriots.com and all of the new media folks blogging and shooting video…mmmmmmmmmm…. nirvana for this Pats junkie!
